{Flame and Mecha} -Kasei/Akashi-

At the edge of the world was a city, several million decades old, all crumbled and over grown. No buildings stood anymore. The technolagy in this city was said to be top notch, but the denizens of said city angered the gods and goddesses and met an untimely end. It was said that it was haunted, but no one knew for sure. All who entered was normally killed by strange phonomena. Some of the machenes in the city were said to still work, but again, no one knew. It was a mystery. This city overlooked a beach that streatched as far as the eye could see either direction, east or west. No one visited these sandy white shores, in fear of the Cursed City Zone overlooking it. Shells of many different kinds scattered these white shores and the turquouse waters brought in waves of tranquility and peace.
A boy lay on the beach, using his grey jacket as a pillow. He wore a sleeveless faded red shirt that showed of his strong arms. He also wore faded blue jeans, that looked almost white. His skin was dark, almost black. From what one could see though, his black skin was converted into red markings on areas on his arms. It looked as though they would travel on his back as well. His red hair was long in the front, as to cover his eyes and short in the back, to keep his hair off his neck. He unfortunately had a bit of a bed head though. His eyes were closed as he napped, sun batheing. His tail lay silently on the beach, collecting sand. He was at peice, taking a break from his normal day-to-day work, he normally got a break once a month for a day but this was his second day not returning, but he was at peice all the same.

Two sky blues eyes studied the sand below her feet. The Kacheek Mecha had been dwelling in this broken city for so long, never had she seen a face. Her lavender hair had been put up into long pigtails, they reached all the way down to her back. She was wearing a lavender jacket, with fur lining the hood. She wore a pink turtle neck muscle shirt and jean shorts with knee length white boots. Her kacheek ears had metal rings attached to them, her robotic rabbit ears we're bent like always.

Akashi had been alone for such a long time. She picked up a shell from the beach. She studied it. It was very pretty. Then something dark caught her eye. She studied the creature up ahead. It looked familiar to her. Then she saw the markings. "K-K-Kasei?" she called out. Her throat went dry, she could barely think. There he was...the one she loved.

The boy, Kasei, opened his eyes apon hearing his name, blinked a couple of times then turned his head towards where his name was cast from the empty shoreline. It was Akashi. He jumped up, grabbed his jacket and put it on while running to her. It had many holes in it from wear and tear. Some looked like holes from bullets or fire and others looked like that of sword dodgeing. When he was next to her he swooped her up off her feet and kissed her on her cheek, all while smiling. His red eyes gazed into hers. This was the one person above all the others he missed, and he wished he could spend every day with her. He hugged her tightly, holding her in his arms.

Watching him run towards her made her a little terrified. She wasn't sure why she was scared though. She stumbled back a bit, almost tripping right over. But Kasei had caught her right before she had fallen. His kiss felt so warm. She smiled happily and hugged him tightly. She whimpered. She looked into his eyes. She kissed him three times on the lips. Kasei was everything to her, and being without him just made her feel broken. She smiled, tears rolling down her cheeks.

He smiled and nuzzled her, "Its been so long..." he said, his voice sounded raspy, as if it hadn't been used in a very long time. He held her tightly and continued to nuzzle her, "How have you been...?" he asked tenderly. He was so happy, when he saw her he felt his heart skip a beat. Of course it was still beating fairly fast. He held her closely to her and felt her warmth, happy with this. The warmth that loved ones are greater then that of any flame the had always thought.

Akashi nodded and kissed his cheek three times. She hugged him very tightly, never wanting to let go. Tears rolled down her cheeks. "Indeed it has been a long time" she said in a weak and shaky voice, "just so long" She kissed him on the lips once. Then she listened to his question. "I've been so lonely without you" she said, "and I was so sad" She smelled his warm and relaxing scent, he smelt so good. She felt his warmth, something she hadn't felt in so long. "How have you been?" she asked.

"Busy..." he sighed, his responce seemed sad. "My home, isn't that wonderful... when your alone," he told her. He shook his head and sat down, still holding her, and set her down in his lap. He kissed her and smiled, buring his head on her neck. "Its so nice to see you again..." he told her.

Akashi frowned when she heard his response. She sat in his lap, staing into his eyes. She returned his kiss with one of her own, and then two more soon after. She ran her fingers through his hair, trying to relax him as he head laid rest on her neck. "It's nice to see you again too" she said, still stroking his hair.

He cuddled her and smiled, "What brings you out here?" he asked her, shining bright enough to light a dark room. "I didn't expect anyone to ever come here!" he said excitedly. "Every time I come here it seems like, there is a dark shadow looming in this area, and it drives people away. Floofy-chan won't even enter these grounds..." he told her shaking his head.

Akashi smiled happily. "I've been here for a while, dwelling in these grounds for a long long while" she said, "I thought if I waited here long enough someone would come by, and I was right" She giggled. "Admiral is somewhere around here, he enjoys running around in such a place, he feels like he is the king" she giggled. She then looked around. 'But I have a feeling this place is being watched, by the government!" she said. She cuddled up to him.

He sighed, "Well, from what I've seen , the technology in there is top notch one of a kind..." He stared at the city, "They say the dwellers of the city are cursed by the gods, for building machenes to bring humans back to life, and making military weapons. A few people who stopped me on my way here this time called it a 'Cursed Zone'." He looked back at her, "But thats just what I've heard, I also hear there is a large spire in the center of the city, the gods used it to wipe out all the life forms..." he said. Although he didn't sound too sure of himself he sounded as though he had done some research on the area.

Akashi lisened to him. "So maybe that's why I want to stay here" she said, "because..." She had zoned out for a while, then quickly returned to reality. "So am I cursed?" she asked nervously. "I'm pretty sure this place is where I was created, only I don't believe I was human" she said, "but this place is very familiar to me"

He shook his head, "Who knows?" he told her, unsure. "Fimiliar hmn..." he wondered to himself, "Do you wish to explore it?" he asked, interested in the city. He had only entered it one time in search of the spire, but was unable to find it and got horribly lost, and ended up back where he had started.

Akashi shook her head. "No I just wanna stay here in your arms for a bit longer" she said weakly. She kissed him on the cheek. She rested there in his arms. She looked so tired, but she didn't do much. Then she heard barking. One of her robotic rabbit ears twitched. Admiral was rushing over to them, he was wearing a metal crown he must have made himself. He was lord of this place!

Kasei's ears perked up as he looked around to see Admiral. "What a cute little crown he fasioned!" Kasei laughed, "I guess he really IS the king!" His ears went back to there normal position, hanging damned near his shoulders. His red eyes watched as the little critter bounded over.
