Dark brown eyes followed the quick steps of strangers that passed through these sidewalks, and the tires that sped on through the aging road. Many strangers went by each other without a word, whether they were familiar with that person, or not. Occasionally, the inhabitants of this city would walk in paths, making idle chitchat, as if to hide from that constantly looming silence, despite the revving of engines, and the patter of steps.
It all seemed strange, on certain days, sure life was fun, but sometimes, you just seemed to get nowhere. These were the thoughts of one particular kougra, who watched with intriguing eyes as she leaned against one cold, graffiti painted wall.
Her arms were crossed over her chest, decorated with the long sleeves of a thin black jacket that covered her horizontally striped shirt of brown and white. Her pants were black and baggy, a thin metal chain hanging loosely from one belt loop to the other, where some few permanent markers hung, rattling against each other. Though her arms and legs were hidden, all of her red toned fur was striped, from her cheeks to the tips of her ears to her long, slim tail.
One hand uncrossed temperarily, pushing aside a lock of very short, vivid red hair from her eyes before returning to its initial place. However, her hair fell once again over her right eye, as it always did. The kougra sighed as boredom took over. She could be patient though, not nearly as wrestless as some, at least. But sadly, there was absolutely nothing to do on this day, and it was just begining, too.
