(I'm presuming they still know each other and either at Waylen's home or Chei's, though it be a miracle if Waylen actually got the poor boy out of his home at all LOL)
Silently the young boy strummed the strings off his guitar. He was good at it he suppose. He only had one person aside from his brother who actually heard him play, much less sing. Though each day he was gathering up courage to play more and more in the presences of that one, but he was still alittle to shy. He cleared his throat and started messing with the knobs to get the right keys he wanted on the strings. Strumming and fixing each string very carefully, being very picky of his guitar. He wanted it played just right, perfect. When he finally was able to get the guitar strummed right, he began to sing:
My world is upside down I don't know what to do When I'm looking straight at you Then I try to reason Why the world is so blue I try to treason When you don't give me a reason Don't you dare turn around When I've gone and fell down I don't want to see your back
Oooooh Give me a reason to live Give me a reason to cry Give me a reason to die Do whatever you want But don't leave me hanging here Oooooh Let me know that you care Let me know that you'll be there Just don't leave me hanging here
Oooooh Give me a reason to live Give me a reason to cry Give me a reason to die Do whatever you want But don't leave me hanging here Oooooh Let me know that you care Let me know that you'll be there Just don't leave me hanging here
Let me hear the voice of your sweet note Let me get down on my knees and gloat Let me take another step with you Let me know what to do Strum my heartbeat Sweep me off of my feet Hold me close and never let me goooooo
Give me a reason to live Give me a reason to cry Give me a reason to die Do whatever you want But don't leave me hanging here Let me know that you care Let me know that you'll be there Just don't leave me hanging here
So you see me runnin' Away from my nightmares Slowly Fallin' Off of my sweet bed Goin' off and bumpin' my head Will you pick me up And show me around? Will you not let me down? I can hear your sweet voice And I know I only have one choice
Oooooh Give me a reason to live Give me a reason to cry Give me a reason to die Do whatever you want But don't leave me hanging here Oooooh Let me know that you care Let me know that you'll be there Just don't leave me hanging here
Oooooh Give me a reason to live Give me a reason to cry Give me a reason to die Do whatever you want But don't leave me hanging here Oooooh Let me know that you care Let me know that you'll be there Just don't leave me hanging here
Oooooh Give me a reason to live Give me a reason to cry Give me a reason to die Do whatever you want But don't leave me hanging here Oooooh Let me know that you care Let me know that you'll be there Just don't leave me hanging here
Just don't leave me hanging here...
He twitched slightly and stopped playing his guitar. Looking around curiously wondering if anyone heard him. He prayed to God that no one heard him. He blushed slightly and flattened his ears against his skull and narrowed his eyes as he frowned slightly. Putting away his guitar and sprawled himself onto his stomach on the bed. Snuggling his head with the pillow as he rested himself on his arm slightly and curled himself alittle bit. His tail flicked and draped over his stomach. He wasn't really dressed to impress or anything. He just wore baggy black pants, and a red hoodie on. That was it.

Waylen stalked across the living room of Chei's house, phone in hand and pressed against his ear. The expression across the young man's face spoke of utter annoyance -- the make that only his brother, Shaemus could manage to create.
" Yes, yes, I know, alright? I'll be home later. No, I don't know when. For god's sake, I'm an adult so back off, okay? Yeah, yeah. I'll talk to you later, bye." Waylen rolled his eyes as he snapped the cellphone shut, sliding it into his jeans' back pocket. Honest to god, sometimes Shaemus drove him insane. He knew his older brother was just concerned about him but Waylen hated to feel like he was being coddled. He was twenty goddamned years old for Christ's sakes.
He put his hands to his hips and drew in a deep breath, eyes closing as he tried to relax. He always got worked up too damned easily. The young man's ears twitched and he jerked his head in the direction of Chei's room. Was that singing he heard? A slow smirk crept across Waylen's black lips and he carefully made his way towards the other boy's room, leaning against the wall by Chei's doorframe. The young maverick listened quietly to the softly sung words, smiling softly to himself. Honestly Waylen just didn't understand why the boy was so damned shy about his gift.
When Chei finished his song, Waylen poked his head through the door, brilliant blue eyes settling on the younger man's form. He huffed something of a laugh, the corner of his mouth upturning into a shadow of a smirk. Waylen moved towards the bed and sat, weight pressing down the mattress. He poked Chei's side with an outstretched finger and grinned.
" What's the point of singing if no body can hear you?" The man quipped, eyes falling to the back of the boy's head. Yeah, he was cute. Really, really cute. Too bad he was so damned shy and so unsure about everything. Waylen stifled a sigh and poked Chei in the side again. " So, what are you up for tonight?" Usually Waylen would be out partying to his heart's content, but he knew Chei wasn't into that. He considered the boy a friend and figured he could tone things down a bit, if only for the younger man's sake.

Chei was resting there for a few moments until he felt the movement of the mattress and he almost jumped out of his skin when he heard the other man's voice and the poke against his side. Slowly he turned his eyes to meet the man's. Flattening his ears against his skull and shifting his movements at the poke. Sending a chill down his spine as his skin tensed slightly. He moved himself upright at the second poke and stretched slightly before turning himself to view Waylen. He craned his head to the side and shook his head.
"What if I don't want anybody to hear me? I'm not like you and openly voices myself to the world."
He mumbled under his breath and turned his attention away. He had almost forgetten that the older man was still in his home. He had grown used to the man being there, but he was still trying to figure out why the man even bothered sticking around. Waylen had openly-voiced he liked the kid, why was beyond him. He wasn't strong, brave, or anything that would make him like him. Well except being cute, but he was shy and cowardly. What good use was he?
"Besides my singing isn't that good, so my talent is worthless.."
He tilted his head slightly and shifted his body as he stared at him. Trying to figure out his question, even if it was obvious what Waylen was asking. He crossed his arms and snorted. He grabbed a pillow and hugged it slightly.
"Probably nowhere, again."
He said slightly. He wasn't a partier, a drinker, drug addict. He didn't do anything but stay in his room all day and all night. How he lived was beyond him, he just did. He was afraid to face the world out there and just plain be confused. That was just how he planned to live out his life. Well it was at first, to live his life and die in his home, alone and gone. But when he somehow met Waylen puzzled him beyond relief. And he even wondered why the man even stuck around with him. He didn't really do anything to satisfy him or even go anywhere with him except to stay in his home and play songs whether he wanted him to listen or not. Not to mention the man was 20 years old, while Chei was about 17 years old.
"Why?"

" Like I said before, kid, you have a gift. It's not fair to the rest of us that you hide it." Waylen said with a grin, ice-blue eyes glittering warmly. The man copped the younger boy in the shoulder, frowning slightly when he insulted himself. " Come on, Chei. Don't talk like that. You're really good. Stop being such a downer, alright?" Waylen sighed softly and briefly thread his fingers through the younger man's hair in a swift, gentle caress. He never understood why the boy lacked so much confidence.
It wasn't any wonder, really, why Waylen was so attracted to him. All his life Waylen had been a part of a wild crowd, those who were loud, energetic, and deviated from the norm. Chei was different. He didn't try to fit in. He was just who he was and that made him more real than any other person Waylen had met. Chei would always be Chei, there was no changing that, but Waylen wanted to see the guy open up to new experiences, to have a little fun in life.
" Aw, come on.... don't you ever get tired of staying at home?" The man questioned, tail swaying idly. He leaned in close to better see Chei's face and grinned softly. " It'll be fun, Chei. We don't have to go anywhere wild. We could just go take a walk in the city park. Hell, we could even go out for icecream if ya' want." The dark-furred male bit his lower lip softly, hoping that Chei might agree to go out that night. If not... well, Waylen would just stay at home with him. He liked being around the kid even if they weren't doing anything but sitting around.

"Heh..."
He wrinkled his maw slightly and heaved his shoulders into a shrug.
"What if I don't want to share my 'gift' with the world?"
He looked away slightly and shoved the pillow back on the bed and half-glanced to Waylen slightly as he thread his fingers through his hair slightly. Raising a brow in curiousity as the man did this. He couldn't quite understand this lupine before him. He was a man and man liked woman, yet he liked man. It was a confusing thing for him and he was almost convinced that Chei liked man too. Yet Chei really didn't know what he liked, he was used to what he was told. Maybe he liked man, maybe he didn't. His heart and head was just as confused as the next person on the block.
"Nope, I like it in my house. It's soft, quiet and very comforting. House is safe."
He enjoyed the company of his house and had grown to it. He still had no idea why this man was still here with him. He had almost rejected every invitation that was sent to him. He just plain had never gone outside and really did not plan on going anywhere but living his days out here. Maybe one day he'll grow out of his isolation, but right now he was staying in his confinement. It was even a miracle that Waylen still stuck around, always cooped in this house with him. He knew the male was a wild one, always seeking adventure and fun. He shook his head and moved away from Waylen as he leaned over the bed to grab his guitar. Propping it up as he began to strum the strings in an almost perfect harmony.
Take me home High above the sky Take me home With wings so high Take me home Where I don't have to cry Take me home With my last goodbye Take me.....home..
He shifted his movements as he stopped singing. Wiping almost invisible tears from his eyes as he stared endlessly at his guitar.

" Well then I'd say that makes you a selfish little bastard." Waylen responded, laughing softly. He leaned back onto the bed, propped up on his elbows, eyes lingering on Chei's tail. The older man tilt his head to the side and pursed his lips, raising his hand so his fingers could dance across the fur of the boy's tail. Was he really that clueless that he didn't realize how beautiful he was? Apparently so. Otherwise he'd probably be with someone by now. Waylen trailed his hand over the fur once more before pulling away, ears perking as the younger man began to sing.
His bright, brilliantly blue eyes lingered on Chei's face and Waylen listened quietly as the boy sang. It wasn't any secret that Waylen was in love with the boy's voice-- it was melodic, angelic, perfect. And gods, if that boy wasn't achingly beautiful. The dark-furred man's slender brows furrowed as Waylen fell into concern for the other, worried about his sudden shift into a somber mood. The lithe but muscular man sat up and shifted closer to Chei. He swallowed and breathed out quietly, running the back of his hand down the side of Chei's face in a gentle caress. He knew it made Chei uncomfortable but Waylen couldn't help it. He always wanted to touch him, to feel him. Waylen couldn't help but gravitate towards the boy.
He bit his lip and leaned forward so that his muzzle was hovering mere inches from Chei's cheek. Waylen spoke softly, in the faintest of whispers, hot breath ghosting across Chei's flesh. " I really want to kiss you." The man choked out, his voice quaking. He said it softly so that Chei could pretend he didn't hear, could act as if nothing had changed. But damned, Waylen did want things to change. He knew he shouldn't be so selfish, he knew he shouldn't rush things... but he couldn't remember wanting someone so badly before. He drew in a bated breath and closed his eyes, waiting for Chei's reaction.

His tail twitched as Waylen danced his fingers along the furs. He tilted his head slightly, not even bothering to look at him. He wasn't even sure why this man had so much patients for him. It was alittle surprising that he still stuck around. But it made Chei feel wanted that this man waited everyday for him. In a way he was glad, glad to know the man would always be there. Hell he ain't never left his side since the day they met. How interesting...The man seemed so loyal to the boy and yet he wasn't sure why. They barely knew each other, yet it seemed like they had known each other for ages and eons. Chei hadn't really met anyone aside from the ones his brother ran into. But he actually met someone all on his own and he has never left him like everybody else had.
He half-glanced to Waylen as he caressed his cheeks. Watching him silently as the older man came closer. He wasn't really comfortable yet with someone touching him, but in a way he kind of liked it. Yet he wasn't sure if he was suppose to like it or even if he is suppose to care. He looked away slightly before turning his attention back to Waylen. But then Waylen came closer until he was whispering in his ears. That striked his interest until he heard what the man had to say.
I really want to kiss you
His eyes widen and he blushed slightly and shook his head. A light smirk crept across his lips and he shook his head. He took one of his hands and placed on Waylen's as he held his hand for a second before pulling away. He put up his guitar again and turned his full attention to the man before him. Watching him in silence before he began to speak again.
"Then why don't you?"

To say that Waylen was surprised would've been an understatement. There was a short intake of breath, the shadow of a gasp and Waylen could only stare in disbelief. He'd been sure, so sure, that Chei would've said no or would've pretended he hadn't heard the desperate revelation. But he'd given that cheeky reply and Waylen was dumbfounded. Slowly he began to gather his wits and his eyes slid shut as a smirk graced his lips.
"Well, then..." He spoke softly but not without a hint of amusement. The older man took Chei's face gently within his hands, thumb stroking faintly over the fur of his cheek. Waylen drew in a short breath, eyelids drooping as the grin faded from his lips. He leaned forward, closing the short distance that had existed between them. Their lips touched in the ghost of a caress before Waylen firmly sealed them together, hand trailing upward to rub at the shell of Chei's ear.
Tentatively his tongue snaked out, running across the line of Chei's lip. He couldn't help it, he wanted to know what the boy tasted like. It was all Waylen could do to stop there. With a shuddering sigh he pulled away, head slumped and eyes closed. He took in a couple of breaths to calm his nerves before opening his eyes and turning his gaze to Chei's face. The older man chewed on his bottom lip nervously, hands falling to rest on his thighs.
He said nothing and instead waited for Chei's reaction.

Chei tilted his head sideways as he watched Waylen curiously. His eyes wandering to his hands as the older man stroked the fur of his cheek. Suddenly he didn't know what hit him when Waylen locked lips with him. His heart thumping hard against his chest, he had never been kissed before much less being kissed by another man. He didn't move for a second, not even when he stroked his ear or even when he felt Waylen's tongue against his lips for God knew what. He didn't know what to feel, to feel happy or bad. Was this even right? The way he was feeling right now? He liked the touch, he had to admit, but was it right for him to feel this way.
When Waylen broke the kiss, Chei almost melted but he caught himself and regained his balance as he stared at Waylen. Still abit shocked that he had even the courage to do so. This man wasn't afraid to do anything, nor afraid to express how he felt. He blinked slightly and his ears twitched. He trailed his fingers over his own lips and folded his arms slightly, looking back to Waylen.
"Wow.."
Was all he could manage to say.
