lacompound.proboards101.com/index.cgi?board=miscprofs&action=display&thread=1156952468www.neopets.com/~_dominique_Love_--------------------------- ~ Nikki didn't usually do things of this calibur...she was reknowned as a well-rounded woman of morals,a tight conduct and paperwork...for an entertainer, she sure had gotten a little big for her britches in the past few months. She couldn't even focus on the good any more...couldn't pay attention to Adlige's classes or get the stage lighting fixed.Just an endless game of chasing after her troupe day after day.It was becoming a little on the level of being over her head.So what did this sophisticated, cultured creature of grace and prestige do?Drink...even she was a little ashamed. This was more Anica's scene,so she had of course brought the wild gelertess with her for a little girl's night out.But as per Anica's whimsy and lack of intelligent conversation for Dominique to partake in,she ran off somewhere on a dimly lit dance floor, leaving Nikki to her light drinks.Tonight was a rare night,as tonight, her normally bound hair, trapped in a tight bun day in and day out was taken down.Lengthy,a waterfall of dark, wavy locks that reached a little below her shoulders, thrown carlessly over the shoulders of a cardinal jacket she never left home without. She was a peculiar sort...eccentric in the ways of her apparal, but solemn and stressed in expression. She idly dragged a claw over the bartop, though hardly at the strength to scratch it's surface, letting herself relax...gradually....slowly.Eyes the color of molten gold, now glazed in boredom and the question on anybody's lips at one time or another... "What the Hell am I going to do..." ~

Ooc: Hey! Welcome to LaCompound! I'm Toxic or Shadow or whatever else. ^^ Anyway, would you mind if I joined in as my character, Dark?
Heh. I've seen all of your character's profiles, and I think they are all really cool. Odd as it may seem I think the four of my characters could get along pretty well with the four of yours. Mine are loosely based off of characters from 'Alice in Wonderland'. Though I have yet to add the fourth profile yet.
Maybe in a different roleplay my character, Alice, could meet Konstantin. Even if he doesn't talk much, or at all, I think it would be pretty interesting if he met Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Since he is actually obsessed with that book.

Ooc: You're welcome. I don't think I've ever seen anyone with characters that were from a circus, but I think its really cool.
I really like the story of Alice in Wonderland, but I haven't actually read either of the real books. I've been desperately trying to find them, but haven't yet. So I had to work with a movie, a video game and some research on the internet to get the story idea.
Dark. This simple little word described more then just the male's name. Not only was his real name Dark, but just looking at him you could catch the dark feel around him. Despite this, he also finds himself with some charming aspect that causes some not to stop staring at him. But right now, that might have been a reason to hide away from the city streets. Not that a bar was that great of a place to hide away, but he came here anyway.
He walked in, his boots making light thud sounds as he took each step. A dull expression marked his face as he took a seat at the bar, only one or two away from Nikki. He mumbled some drink title to the bartender and was soon drinking some odd liquid.
He was rather strange to look at, seeing as all of his cloths were black, his boots, shirt, pants, and even his long coat that nearly reached the floor and was held on by chains crossing over his chest, yet on his coat was a ring of dark blood red hearts going around the bottom edge of it and a large outline of a heart with an X crossing over it, in the same color, on the back. And if you took a few moment's to look very closely at him, it was almost as if he had wings. A very faint, nearly invisible, outline of angel wings could be seen around him, coming from his back.

~Dominique had seen the world at least five times over before she got bored of it,and over the years, she had learned indefinitely how to be more cautious than some.Even over a drink.Without the turn of her head, she set her startling, stunning, rather ominous golden eyes apon the stranger;rather like the stare of cat's eyes.He radiated a general air of gloom and dismay...and as an entertainer,it wasn't a feeling she enjoyed...she rolled a shoulders a little within her jacket, and took a long, heavy shot from her glass. It was like seeing a clown cry...the rest of her troupe were always so content,so carefree save Konstantin. But there was a price to pay to lead anything these days. She found herself stressed, rather bored, and unable to come up with inspiration for a better show in months. And right now,the drink wasn't helping at all.Curse Anica's questionable logic...Cirqe De' Nique hadn't made it big quite yet,not the most recognizable performing troupe throughout the city...and her name hardly ever rang a few bells. But nontheless, she still seemed a little...dare I say,Magical, whimsical.Eccentric, like she really did belong on the side of the street pulling dims out of people's ears. She was bored in all honestly, and was starting to become agitated by the demeanor of this stranger. So,with a childish grin, hardly caring whether or not he really looked to see what she was doing, she pulled her now empty glass forward with two slender fingers, presented a bright green cloth she pulled out of her sleeve, dropped it on the glass, and with a simple wave of her hand over it's covered mouth, she yanked the cloth away, and the cup had ,well...disappeard.It was a good-sized glass,at least ten inches tall,it was seemingly impossible for anybody to make it vanish with dirt backstage magic tricks. She smiled in her knowing, and simply ordered another from an entertained bartender.-

Ooc: American Mcgee's Alice. I played it a little and really liked it. However, my brother erased the saved data and I haven't played since then.
Dark tossed his head slightly, causing some of his red tipped black hair to move out of his blood colored eyes. He took a another sip of his mysterious drink. He wasn't exactly one for alcoholic drinks, and his glass wasn't clear like everyone else. Upon request he had been served with a glass quite similar to a teacup. Actually, I doubt Dark would drink anything Alice could yell at him for later. Even if she wasn't around now, that girl had a way of knowing things.
Dark was already getting bored of this place and had the right mind to leave and move on somewhere else, but then he caught the motion of the woman's glass in the corner of his eye. He watched what she had done without turning his head, the same way she looked at him. He didn't show any interest on his face, but watched as the glass disappeared with slight amusement. Only a little, however. It was an interesting skill, but nothing like that could surprise this guy.

~Dominique laughed and took meager sips from a new glass. She finally did turn her head to him with a cocked eyebrow. She was quick, rather good at what she did,and she always did like a challenge.By looking at him,she tried to gain as much as she could about a target audience...he had a morbid sort of demeanor, gothic, dark in a sense...so decided to kick it up by one notch. With the same green cloth, she waved her hand over it slowly, and when she had finished, she instead held the hilt of a slender knife,it's hilt decorated ornately with whimsical colors of all sorts, but did the trick end with turning fabric into metal?No...for Dominique, that was far too simple. The bartender noticed on instant she now brandished a weapon, and it would be assumed he would say something if he didn't already know her semi-personally.He set the cup he was cleaning down to watch the mini spectacle Nikki insisted on making of herself, and set her hand flat on the table, pulling her sleeve to indicate there was no plastic appendage in it's place beforehand. It became very obvious on what she was planning to do,raising the polished weapon high above her head, and with one practiced swing, lopped the very thing from her wrist...
The blade indeed made contact with the table, and it did seem very...very real...,as the hand was surely slashed from her wrist...she got a little macabre, and with her free hand, pulled the same disappearing trick with the glass to the dismemberment with a wave of her palm. With a very nonchalant tone, she beckoned the frightened barkeep over with the same free hand.He was hesitant, but slowly leaned forward....she snapped her fingers, dug her left hand into his pocket and slid the right one out with ease before setting it into her sleeve atop her wrist.Pulling the red sleeve down,it was as if the trick never ensued....
Only a true magician of very fine background could have pulled such an elaborate,if not garish trick off...she yawned a bit and found that indeed, she was now in much higher spirits. She just needed to pull a stunt to make herself smile...and that was the beauty in her work...
Without a care in the world, she downed the rest of her drink, pushed the payment forward and hopped a very svelte body from the stool.Scanning the rest of the room for her compatriot so they could head home for the night...-

Dark had watched Dominique as she performed her hand slicing trick. Now more amused then before. But not because of the trick she pulled, but it was the fact that she was doing such things for no other apparent reason beside him to notice it.
He sighed lightly, setting his teacup-like glass down. He stood up and turned away to face the rest of the building. That's when the bartender walked over to where Dark had sat. He was about to speak, threatening Dark about not paying. However, the male waved his hand over the tabletop and there appeared the payment.
He then planned on taking the bait set up for him. He moved in a fury of fast steps, it was almost hard to see him moving, and appeared to stand before the interesting girl of tricks. He now held something up across his chest in his left hand that much resembled a long black rod. Which actually was his staff. And a rather large dark blood colored gem in the shape of heart adored the top of it, held on by twisting black chains. He was blocking the other's path. His red eyes narrowed a little, and his black hair fell in his face concealing one of them.
"Interesting trick. You got my attention now." His voice was just as he seemed, dark and mysterious. Almost as if hiding a secret.

~There wasn't much that intimidated or phased Dominique...her motto came from the anime Adlige always made her watch. "Cowboy Bebop" in which Spike decided, "Whatever happens...happens." and that was what she had stuck with from then on.She cocked her brow to him with the same bright grin.Hands jammed in her pockets, she simply tried to look over him for Anica. But eventually she turned her attention back to him.He was certainly a strange sort...macabre,angsty,rather creepy in his own fashion. But if she could with one like Konstantin, she could certainly hold no ill will against a fellow of this sort. She flipped the collar of her scarlette jacket down as it had come undone at the night's start, and she seemed to speak to him as if they were old friends. She had a very smooth, very likeable voice, cheery, but not so much as to make you sick just listening.~ Thanks...any compliment I get these days is reassuring, but in all honesty sir,I've just been in a horrid mood lately, and needed to remedy it before it became a problem. ~She grinned and brushed a lock of dark hair out of her eyes.~ And besides, you looked like you needed the same. But damn my luck it didn't seen to work as well as it did for me.So if you could help me out,it'd be fabulous...have you seen a gelertess around here?Red fur, dirty blonde hair? ~She muttered before pulling an ornate pocketwatch out of her coat to check just how late they would be~ (Probably drunk like a fish by now....?)

Without saying a single word the heat-topped black staff was lowered down. No longer did it block off Dominique's path. The male grinned, but in a manner that was more sinister then inviting any sort of comfort. "Remedies don't have affect on me." he replied. All that was left was to answer her question next. He didn't turn to actually look around, but spoke anyway. "Afraid not." It wasn't like him to even bother with other's affairs, so looking for someone for someone else wasn't his type of entertainment. And besides, if this woman, who used tricks to perhaps lighten his mood, were to find the one she was looking for she would probably leave. So what was the point of getting his attention in the first place if she intended just to leave? "Hmmm...you're intending to leave now so why pull tricks and draw my attention? Wouldn't it make more sense if we engaged in conversation?" he asked, his red eyes in the narrowing.
