Personality:Mei is a professional psychiatrist, and her worklife definitely spills over into her personal life, in fact its sort of taken over. her professional nature means she is assertive, quick-witted and has a dry sense of humour. To a stranger she would be polite and approachable, but not overly-friendly. Once a friend of hers however, Mei is extremely warm and attentive; she looks out for others, usually putting people and work way ahead of her personal life

History:Mei has lived in the States since university age. whilst as uni she met her future husband and married at 26. She and Evan never had kids, though they did try for a number of years until work ended up taking priority. Mei became a top psychiatrist and is now self-employed, working in a high-rise building in town. 8 years into their marriage, Evan died in a car crash and left Mei alone. With her family in China and only a few friends from the field of psychology, Mei became slightly introverted, spending her nights alone, often working late hours in the office rather than going home to an empty flat. Recently she met an old friend, Nikolai Volkov, who had learnt of her ground-breaking work with troubled mutants. On hearing his dilemma, she agreed to help him on his search to find his children who were shanghaid into the mutant slave trade. They are currently overseas, trying to find traces of Nik's kidnapped daughter.

Relationships:Widowed from a long-term and loving marriage. Mei was pretty much exclusive with her husband from university age onwards. Before then she had a few unserious relationships, but nothing special. She and Nik are currently helping each other get over the loss of their spouses whilst searching for his daughter-friends help heal broken hearts.
