"Well, assuming you have heard the story about the young girl, Alice, falling down a rabbit hole and ending up in a mixed up world, Wonderland, that she created with her own mind, then you already know part of my story. But what links into me being insane is what happened after Alice escaped Wonderland." She began. "When Alice got back home she told her family about the adventure she had in that crazy Wonderland, but they didn't believe her. They thought she was beginning to have 'problems', so the sent her for some counseling. Not too long after that her whole family died in a freak fire that enveloped there house. Alice was the only one to get out alive. Then, with no where else to go, she was sent to an asylum. Apparently, that was her parent's plan if she didn't stop believing in Wonderland." She paused. "Once she started to live at the asylum she was placed under shock-treatment everyday. Even the night didn't give her peace. She would have nightmares that mixed the world she created along with the fear of that fiery event that took her loved ones. The dreams were so bad she'd wake up still locked in her nightmares. That's when the shock-treatment got even worse. By that time, because of what the 'doctors' did to her, she had really gone insane. It caused all her emotions to fade. She couldn't being happy, she couldn't cry, she couldn't even feel pain. But the worse stage was yet to come. A few of her emotions did, eventually, come back; anger and hatred." She paused again, looking down a moment and shallowing down a knot that had formed in her throat. " And its because of the experience in that asylum that I had really gone insane."

Did that all happen to her? He wandered, amazed to hear the dramatics of her life. His certainly didn't compare. "Wow, sorry to hear all that. Did that all happen to you, even living without feeling?" He asked, wondering how she could live without emotions. Unable to feel a thing, yet conscious of the world around her? That must have been so horrible. He thought with a frown, still holding the peculiar flower in one hand.

Alice took a moment and nodded. "Yes, its the tale of my life. Well, atleast the worst part of it. Which probably was the event that had the most effect on me in my lifetime so far." She said, her voice unreadable for the time-being. "Perhaps now you understand why its so hard for me to trust others besides just myself."

"Makes sense." He nodded, frowning still. It was just hard thinking how much people went through in their lives. Even though his life wasn't that great, and he did have problems, he had it so easy. All he had to deal with was a bit of name-calling and no friends, as well as a few small things that tied in with that.

"But, on a more cheerful note, I can now move freely from this world and the world I created. I learned that when I escaped the asylum that way. The only thing is that Wonderland is created through my emotions, feelings, and things I believe in. But, due to the time I hadn't any of these things, Wonderland grew to be a dark, haunting place. But, again, I'm happy to report things turned out ok. Once I was free of that horrible place I was able to go about this world and begin to find myself again. And when I was able to feel once more, and things began to turn around for me a little, my world became renewed and its much better then it was any of the times before." She half-smiled, her head filling with thoughts of her 'home', as she called it. "I'm still on my journey to make things better, and as good things happen Wonderland gets better, too. I know there's hope, and you're holding proof right in your hand." By this she meant that that oddly beautiful flower she had gave him. It showed that even in darkness beautiful things will form, and that's what Alice has come to believe.

He smiled lightly at the newfound hope in her story. Of course, it would have to have its cheerful moments, if it was her. After all, he had spoken to her, and she didn't appear emotionless, or especially filled with anger. "Glad life's turning out good for you, amazing how things end up, in comparison to the start, huh?" He grinned. His life certainly changed for the better.

Alice sighed. "Life sure is a mystery, and can be troublesome at times, but I don't think its good to completely give up. Even I know that." She agreed.
Subconsciously her hand reached to her side where she had said her white key was kept. She closed her eyes again. To be honest, it was thanks to the appearance of that key that she was even able to live with herself to this day. "Um...I know I shouldn't prey, and you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but what about your life?"

"No worries, I pried way more." He smiled, figuring where to start. He didn't have such drastic parts in his life. "Well, when I was around eight or so, I moved from my old school in Krawk Island to an entirely new one around Central, and that was a bit of a change. I was different from the other kids, and even a little weird at my old school, so I didn't make very many friends up 'til about fifth grade. Then, I met a pretty cool guy, and we were inseperable, until my parents got a divorce and moved as far away from each other as possible. Then, they were trying to get me to decide which parent to go with, and I just couldn't do that, so I ran. " He shrugged, that was the jist of it, pretty much. "And from there, I sort of lived on my own, with roommates occasionally, and now I live with a guy named Tinh, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with my life. This may sound a little cliche, but I'm working on becoming a volunteer fireman." He grinned, every little boys dream, right?

"Humm, I see. It must have been difficult to deal with that in your childhood. In some ways, I think, we're a little like each other." She said, her face marked with thought. "You say you were different, and because of that you didn't have many friends. Its kinda the same for me." she smiled. "And you want to be a fireman, so that means you wish to save those who are in need. I hope that works out for you."

"Yeah, I guess so." He nodded, smiling. It seemed a lot of people endured that fate, but through it all, right when you lose hope you tend to find something that gives you a reason to live again. "It would be nice, to feel as though you could do things to help people, though right now, I haven't been able to do much. Maybe becoming a fireman will give me some more chances at that." He shrugged. "Hey, wanna go get a bite to eat or something?" He offered after a moment of thought. He hadn't eaten too much today, and he didn't want such an interesting conversation to die.

"Ah..." It was one of those odd moments again with Alice. She took a moment, debating on going or not. Up until this point you could say Alice wasn't really interested in going to large public places often. But then again... "Sure. Though, I must warn you I don't go out much, atleast not to many places with a lot of people. So I don't have any ideas of where we could go..."

"I have no idea either." He smiled, looking around to only see wood. "But, if we walk in one direction, I'm sure we'll hit a small town or something, at least. And the towns around a wood like this will probably be small, so no worries." He smiled, deciding on a random direction and walking that way. And eh, it wouldn't be that bad just walking and talking, so far it seemed like they had pretty interesting conversations.

Ooc: M'kay, that's fine with me!
Alice nodded, agreeing with his idea of just walking. But then as Refaine started walking away, she got a startled look on her face. "Oh, wait please!" she said suddenly, grabbing his arm to stop him. "Sorry," she said letting go of him. "but I need to get something."
Before anything else was said she had turned off toward a group of bushes. Her eyes scanned the area, but she sighed. Kneeling over she whispered into the shrubs, "Where are you?" But nothing spoke up in return. "Eh, just one moment." this time she spoke directed Refaine, and gave him a quick glance before going about speaking to the plants. Ok, she wasn't actually talking to the bushes but, at this point, that's what it looked like she was doing.
Then a soft rustling sound came from a bush a little father from where she was, and Alice's ears perked up a little. "Ahah! There you are!" She said, running over to the area where the sound came from. Kneeling over she scooped something up in her arms, and returned to stand before the other Ixi again, a bright smile sitting on her face. In her arms was what looked like a hand-made stuffed doll. A miamouse doll, that is.
