"Hm?" Refaine responded, coming to a hault and looking back to her. For a while, he just watched her speak to the plants in confusion, until she picked up a doll. Oh, that would explain it, she nearly left her doll. "Oh." He said with a smile, looking to the miamouse. "Cute doll." He said, though he was curious as to why she was speaking to it when she was looking, the doll and her must be pretty close.

Alice's eyes shifted up to meet Refaine's. "Thanks, but he's not a doll, exactly..." As she spoke the stuffed Miamouse's black beedie eyes blinked a few times. Then it let out a tiny squeak, while eyeing Refaine and clinging close to the girl. "Oh, its alright my little doormouse." Alice said softly, "He wont hurt you." She then looked back to Refaine. "This is Tippity, my petpet. He's a living doll." she explained.
By now Tippity had climbed up on Alice's head, and was standing up as tall as he could while sniffing the air around this new person. While in this position one could see the patch of cloth shaped like a heart on his chest, in the same area where a real heart would be.

"Oh, hey that's cool. Hi, Tippity." He smiled, looking to her petpet with interest. He was always fooled with plushie petpets, it was a tad confusing at times, for him at least.
"Well, since nothing scary is around, I suppose Calcifer won't mind coming out for a bit." He smiled, withdrawing his lighter from one pocket, and flicking it on. With that, a small flame emerged, though grew to quite an unexpected size, and jumped from the lighter. Refaine snapped the lighter shut again, dropping it into his pocket, though the strange flame remained, jumping to his shoulder. After a moment, black eyes appeared in the flame, showing that it was a baby fireball.
"This is Calcifer, he tends to be afraid of a lot of things, so I carry him around in my lighter." He explained with a smile, stroking the warm flame with one hand. "He's actually not burning hot, just a nice warm." He added, if she was wondering why his shoulder and hand wasn't on fire.

Alice watched as he took out a lighter, and at first she didn't quite understand what a lighter had to with it, but then as the little flame appeared she understood. "Oh, how cute." she said, tempted to pet him too, but was still was secretly a little timid of flames. She did smile though. "Why Hello there, Calcifer."
As Calcifer appeared Tippity had moved to stand on all fours, after nearly falling over being stretched up like he was before. His nose was still at work, sniffing the air and catching the scent of the two strangers. He let out another squeak, this time in a more friendly manner.
"Is that so? Tippity is a little timid, too. Beside being named Tippity, I often call him Doormouse. He's like the new Doormouse in Wonderland." Alice smiled. "I can actually understand why you thought he was a doll. He started out as a doll. I sewed him together myself, and then brought him to life using my magical key."

Calcifer looked around, slightly surprised to see new people. It leaned back slightly, withdrawing to himself. However, seeing how Refaine seemed to trust her enough, he went back to his former position, crackling his flames lightly, as if to purr.
Refaine smiled back, starting to walk back through the forest, it might take a while to reach a town, after all. "Make's sense, that key really would come in handy for things like that. Have you ever brought people back from the dead?" He wandered, tilting his head curiously. Now that would be a messy subject, probably not a smart idea, but a lot of people would be eager to try it. Going against the laws of life, however, was not something he was especially eager to do.

As they began to walk on once more she removed the Miamouse from her head, to make sure he would fall, and held him curled up in her arms. There the little mouse-like creature seemed content and relaxed, almost as if he was able to fall asleep even as the Ixi walked.
When Refaine spoke of bringing back the dead, Alice flinched. That pretty much hit it all dead on. "My puppet." she said suddenly, but then held one of her hands to her mouth a moment. "Er, my friend actually." she corrected. Alice was often called the Puppet Master, and a puppet master needed a puppet right? One of her few friends, whom she called more as a family member, had the nickname of Alice's Puppet. She didn't treat him as her puppet, but it was just a situation that they understood.

Refaine glanced over to her in interest, maybe he shouldn't have asked that. He had a good guess that the result of this resurrection was not a good one. Few ever lived happily ever after. As curious as he was, he was hesitant to ask many questions, figuring it may bring back not-so-nice memories. Of course, their previous conversations weren't exactly the cheeriest. Death, however, was another subject.

Her eyes had moved into a glance toward him, as well, and when he didn't say anything more she could figure some thoughts that might be going through his head. I mean I don't think its everyday you hear that a girl brought someone back to life. "Incase you're wondering, and even if you aren't, he wasn't quite dead yet....So I didn't mess with nature too much." Her words were in a bit of a mumble.

"Oh, well that's good." He said with a half hearted smile, wandering if now was the time to smile at all. Well, he had no idea what the story was, who knew what would be a good reaction. "If you don't mind my asking, did it work?" He said slightly reluctantly, listening with interest.
Calcifer looked to his owner, seeing the cheesy smile and mimicked it, his now visible mouth open so wide, that his eyes were forced to squint, and the flames atop his head danced slightly, as most fires do.

Alice nodded, while stroking back the ears of the plush Miamouse softly. Tippity's eyes had drifted up to Alice's face, probably trying to understand why she was about to tell this other person about that. The living doll had been with her for the longest out of anyone so far, so it only made sense he knew Alice the best.
"Yes, his life was successfully saved, without much damage." Alice finally spoke up. Alice eyes had drifted foward once more, onto the invisable path the two walked. "Honestly, I don't think the matter of it is all that dark. Of course, its probably just me who thinks that way."

"Well, that's good to hear." He smiled lightly, now more comfortable. "Well, I don't see it as dark, if they were still alive, it is another matter to bring back the already deceased, in my opinion, you know?" He shrugged, or maybe he was just thinking different. He continued to walk, stepping over a fallen log carefully, offering his hand if she needed help over it. "So, do you live around here?" He asked, finding a new topic.

"Humm, I'm glad you don't find it too dark. The people at the hospital probably thought I was insane for what I did..." She laughed lightly. That was probably the word of her life, wasn't it? A lot of things she did probably made her seem insane to the average 'normal' person.
She gave one of her hands to Refaine, while holding Tippity in the other, when the log appeared. Carefully she hoped over it. "Thanks." she said happily. "I guess you could sort of say that. I kinda live everywhere. Stopping where I please, living in one place for awhile, then moving on. The only place I could really call my home, is in Wonderland. I sort of have a set home there, but I still like this world, too."

"Eh, hospitals are all about saving people, aren't they? You'd think they'd try anything to help others." He mumbled as he helped her over.
"Well, that's a good way of living, I sorta have the same thing, though I do have a bit of a home, I'm just not there very often." He smiled, it was nice to have a home though, he just hasn't found that place that made him truly feel at home. "It is sort of cool, though, that you can have a home away from home, to escame to, I guess." He smiled, wishing he could have that sort of place as well.

"Yea. Traveling around is enjoyable. You find a lot of things just wandering around, and you can learn a lot from it, too." She then stuck out her tounge in a playful manner. "When I go back to Wonderland I have to deal with the king, though. It just so happens I'm the only girl to currently live or even visit my new Wonderland. So dealing with the king of hearts can get rather annoying." she luaghed. "I guess he's alright, seeing as he's one of my few friends, but really for someone who's supposed to be dark and mysterious he can get on my nerves."

"The only girl? The guys must be eager to see you visit." He grinned, walking on through the forest. Wow, thats strange, he wandered how many lived in Wonderland, now. "It is cool though, that you're friends and all. Sounds like an amazing world." He grinned, imagining it. It must be amazing, if this flower came from it, he thought, twisting the strange plant in his hand.
