(Incase anyone whom may want to join has no idea whom my character Riley is, I have included a link to her. Yay! >.> www.neopets.com/search.phtml?selected_type=pet&string=wolfyportecter) Absently, the thin figure of a female bowed, blonde hair falling from her shoulders and shadowing her face. The faint sound of clapping sounded around her as she did so, a smirk across her face as money was tossed into her hat. Kindly, she thanked the people as the flock broke apart. Sure, she had a job, though sometimes she swore the pay was better standing on a street corner and performing magic tricks on the unsuspecting onlookers. Well, it wasn't so much magic tricks as quick hand movements, making things disappear at rapid speeds, only to reappear somewhere else, but the people enjoyed it, and she needed the money. Riley felt her appearance hand something to do with it. No, she wasn't vain, but let's face it, shall we? She looks rather odd, with the dog like ears and tail, though most seemed to assume that was part of the illusion. She was fine with this, as rarely did she see the same face twice, unless she were along someone's route, and then, over time, they didn't bother watching anymore, just tossed her money. But money was money. And having no money didn't seem to cut it these days. Absently, she fingered through the coins and occasionay bills. Eah. Pocket change added up, which is what many people didn't seem to realize. Which was good for her. Very good for her actually. Eyes scanning the contents of her hat, the teen nodded in satisfaction, today was a good day.

Ooc: I haven't read up on Riley yet, but I will soon. I'm dying for a roleplay, so would you mind if I joined as Renoshi?

Ooc: Please note that I haven't roleplayed Renoshi at all yet, so ya...this should be interesting...
Another figure passed by the little show of tricks and really almost did just pass by, but it suddenly caught this male's attention. I guess you could say that he was quite into magic himself, even if it was real magic or not.
At one look it seemed a guy like him wouldn't have much of a reason to be walking the streets. He wore a rather clean, proper outfit. Dressed up with a light tan long sleeve button up shirt, black dress pants and black dress shoes. The kind of cloths you'd wear if at some fancy dinner party to look sophisticated. His orangeish red hair was even perfectly in place, too.
But then again, something else seemed a little odd about him. He had a scare over his left eye, which was a really light blue while his right eye was a light green.
He just sorta stood there with a blank expression, and flicked a few spare coins into Riley's hat.

(Eah, no worries, I've had Riley stuffed in a box and packed away for quite some time now. I just dusted her off recently.)
Riley gave a light bow, which was slightly over dramatized, to the male whom had bothered to flick the coins into her hat. "Why, thank you," She then polietely added, noting instantly the different tones of his eyes, and the scar, for that matter. Though, she knew what was impoliete, even if she were standing on the street and fooling the simple minded into believe she could perform magic tricks, thus, she did not stare, merely twitched her ears and glanced subconciously down into the hat.
Riley also easily realized he didn't seem to fit in with the other onlookers and passers by, which made her wonder if he was lost, or merely out for an evening stroll. Alas, she didn't ask.
(Is he wearing like a watch, or does he have a wallet on him or anything?
Sorry this one is short, but I was going to have Riley pull a quick one on him, I just don't want to power play or anything of the sort.)

Ooc: Yep, Renoshi has a wallet...where ever he keeps it...
This will be interesting, if she tries to take his wallet I doubt he'll care much but he's a weird person and might get all attack mode on her... Eh, maybe not but he does have magic of his own.
And the sortfulness is alright, I'm kinda multitasking and a bit brain dead so ya...
One of his ears flicked as if he might have been thinking about something, but no one would really think that. Ones would often just flick there ears out of habit or boredom. "You're welcome." he replied. Shockingly his voice was a little timid sounding, but polite none-the-less and it seemed to have a little bit of flatness to it.
"So magic, is that correct?" he asked, his expression still not giving away anything. "Things are often mistaken, but its still quite amusing."

(Heh. That would be a wonderful ending for her. Riley being mauled for taking a wallet and planning on giving it back. xD
Oh well, all's well that ends well.
As I said, no worries. ^_^)
Riley briefly allowed her eyes to dance, wallets weren't often hard to find, as even without money, they tended to be bulky, and some even stuck out of the pocket corner through carelessness, though the latter she didn't expect from the clean cut male.
"Magic, perhaps, it's for you to decide," She lightly assured, eyes trailing to his face once more, as she swore she thought she caught a glimpse of what could be a wallet. First, she'd endulge him in conversation, as a distraction, no doubt. So he would let his guard down. Eah hell, why wait, ask him a question, and during his answer. Swipe. No more wallet. Well, not for a few moments if she performed it correctly.
"To what degree does magic interest you?" Riley then questioned, a slender brow rose as she focused on his face. Over time, she had developed the skill to pick pocket without even having to look. Hm. A pick pocket whom returned what she pick pocketed. Very nice...

Ooc: Eh, Renoshi's got some interesting magic/battle styles but hes not dark enough to go psycho on someone unless its more life or death. He's probably the most gentlemanly of all my characters....
Renoshi gave a minute to reply, and before he did his hand mindlessly reached up to his neck where the black marking of a heart was. "Its interesting, and if done correctly it makes a great tool. Whether or not its illusion or real, either one is quite useful." he paused, a tiny grin appearing on his face for a second and disappearing again. "The real trick to any kind of magic is how to see through it. How to reverse on its unsuspecting user."
That was Renoshi alright. All that talk of magic and a little detail of how to work it. I guess you could say knowing how to read magic was one of his...skills.

(Heh, well that's very good for Riley then, as I don't see her springing on him and threatening him anytime soon.)
While the male was about half way through what he was saying, and yes, Riley was listening intently, as he was making some good points, her finger wandered from her side, while her gaze locked solely on his face. "It is amazing what some come learn to do, with nothing at all, or otherwise." She commented in return, her hand reaching gracefully and skillfully to caress the wallet, ah yes, she had it now. Just keep him busy and he'd never know the difference. "It's amazing what can be done with lighting, or lack there of," Riley went on to add, multi-tasking, to say the very least.
"Do you know any magic yourself?" She went on asking him questions, head tilting lightly as she waited for his response. In all truth, she was rather enjoying the conversation, and was more or less testing him now with this action. Seeing if he could see through her magic, if you will.
Riley knew what she did wasn't considered magic, though, she also did a good job of teaching the spectators otherwise. It wasn't just the 'magic,' it was the presentation, the silent wondering of how exactly the female had gotten hold of something you had without you being any the wiser, which intrigued the spectators. Apparently, she knew what she was doing, in that case.
(T'is up to you to catch her, or let her get away with it. ^_^)

Renoshi manage to keep his face rather blank, though his eyes did flick into slits for a millisecond as Riley manage to fix her grasp on his one belonging one would target to steal without knowing the wiser. In meaning it wasn't likely that his wallet was what one who knew who he was, well more like what he was, would steal.
However, despite realizing her actions, her little trick if you will, he went on with conversation. "Indeed it is. Taking or giving, in magic skills its almost all the same." Heh, what a great thing to say now. "You could say I do, but mines a little more then just trick of eye. Actually, its almost far from it, but who really needs to know that?"

Rather easily, the wallet was slipped from his pocket, eased out in a gentle tug, as Riley wasn't aware he was on to her, the hand simply was placed behind her back thereafter. Where the wallet would remain until he either asked for it back, or prepared to leave. She were a lot of things, but a thief was not one of them.
She gave an absent smile at his opening comment, the sorners of her lips twisting up in the slightest grin, and she nodded in agreement. Heh, it almost made her a little suspicious. Almost...
"No one really needs to know," Riley pointed out with an absently shrug, bushy tail swaying lightly in all absently ness as it hung - still- rather limply. "But I asked, which implied that I would like to know, but whether you'd like to show me something or not, is all up to you," She said, nodding her head softly in the process of doing so. Absently, she brushed back a stray strand of hair with her free hand, as it seemed ot be bothering her to some extent.

Renoshi grinned briefly. "Well, I don't know if my style of magic will interest you, but I'll try me best."
With that he took a step back and suddenly he had drawn five cards into his right hand, four of which appeared to be normal playing cards, the ace of each suit, but in the center of these was another odd card. He actually had drawn them so fast you couldn't really tell where the came from.
He had them held like a fan when he closed his two-toned eyes. Moments later they opened again and at the exact same time the five cards were drawn back into a stack in his hand. At that instant a small lightning strike cracked on the concrete between them.
"Just a simple thing. Didn't want to use up to much power." he said, letting the hand with the cards fall to his side.

Riley lightly forced his wallet into the red belt of her skirt in order to bring both hands into view, and clap at his little trick, she did so smiling, bowing her head, "I believe that beats what I do any day of the week," she pointed out. It may have been simple to him, but Riley rather enjoyed watching his little trick. As she finished her clapping, both arm fell to her side, thoug not for long, as she soon extended on to him.
"I'm Riley, by the way," She finally introduced herself, holding out the hand so that she could shake the hand opposite Renoshi's cards. Eah, in all their talk and magic and frauds she had completely forgotten she had no idea whom she was talking to.
Soon enough, she would return his wallet to him. Whenever she felt the time was right. No sooner, no later, unless, of course, he asked for it back. In which case she would hand it over. Somehow, she doubted that would happen, however...
