Riley's head slowly tilted at Renoshi, watching him as he fell into a silent state, and in her mind seemed to be in another world. Though she did not disturb him, merely waited for Renoshi to speak, or perhaps fall forward into a sleeping position, though she very much doubted that would happen.
Blue eyes danced as he reopened his own eyes, and began to speak to her. Riley nodded her head softly, stroking her hair back once more as her ears rose some, likely in interest, though perhaps to sound. "No one really likes hospitals or doctors," She lightly pointed out, resting her hand absently on her cheek, and her elbow on the table. "As if you're in a hospital, it means either you, or someone you're close to have become ill or injured, and doctors are the messengers of bad news."

Renoshi's ears twitched a few times, but never really left there drooped position. It seemed to be most comfortable for Renoshi not to have his ears constantly propped up.
What Riley said was an interesting point. It could seem a lot like she had described. But that wasn't quite his reasoning for hating them. And he didn't use the word lightly, he didn't just dislike them, he truly hated them.
"I'll tell you something else about my life..." he began slowly. His voice dropped down to a level that only Riley would be able to hear. "I shouldn't be alive right now. I was supposed to die some years ago." he took a brief pause. "I was really sick and everyone in my village had already died from the virus. I was taken in by a hospital of the nearest town, but they didn't do anything for me. They wouldn't even enter my room. The left me in a death ward all by myself for weeks in pain. They refused to see me, afraid they'd get sick too."

Riley leant in somewhat over the table as she noted a decline in his voice, blue eyes dancing as she studied Renoshi's expression and composure. She clearly paused as he spoke about himself and his past life, as if trying to take it all in. As he finished, the female leant back in her chair, one arm crossed over her chest as the opposite elbow propped on it, so that Riley's hand could gently stroke her jaw, making her appear rather thoughtful.
In all truth, Riley was trying to decide whether or not she should press the Kyrii for some more information, as it was a rather interesting tale, so she nodded her head softly. Her newfound friend had almost died? "What happened that made you well again?" Her soft voice asked, head tilting once more. She did feel sympathy for him, for being alone and losing everyone he knew, though some part of her told her that perhaps Renoshi would prefer if she didn't voice this empath response.

Renoshi was actually leaning over the table a little as he spoke so softly now. He was going to reply, that much was for sure. Only he took another moment to himself to think up the best way to explain this. "You wouldn't believe me, even if I told you." he began. And was about to go on when there waiter appeared with a tray of food.
Renoshi sat back up quickly at the other's appearance, and his eyes shifted toward the waiter. Who in turn eyed him and spoke, "Here are your starters. I'm sorry for the wait." he said bowing his head slightly and placed three different dishes of food in the center of the table, saying the name's of each as he went and then leaving again.
The first dish had a part of a loaf of bread, cut into slices, with an odd looking jam and pieces of grapefruit that were turn into candy. The second dish was actually held in two smaller bowls sitting on a plate. It looked like some sort of pinkish soup, only the bowls had a thin film of visible ice on them, and some mint leaves were set along the plate holding the bowls. The third really wasn't that hard to figure out. It was just some sort of shrimp dish.
For the time being Renoshi ignored the food, and went on with where he left off. "Like I said, I doubt you'll even believe me. But I'll still tell you. A week or so before I fell into my final state of death a strange girl came to visit me in my room. I had never met her before in my life, but she stayed with me the whole time. She talked to me, told me stories, and it all made me happy. I was confused though, since no one ever stayed in my room and she didn't even wear a mask to keep out germs. Anyway, after a few days went by the virus had eaten away so much of my heart that it was about to go out, and I fell into a pain much worse then I had felt before. The girl had quickly reacted to this." He paused. Rather it was for his own purpose or just for effect, that's unknown. "She cut me open, and began to work on my heart. However, I died right before she was finished working. And yet, I'm still here. She brought me back to life within just a minutes of my death." After those last words parted from his lips, his two colored eyes moved to search Riley's eyes. Looking for signs of fear or perhaps disgust. He knew it wasn't a likely story to believe and even if she did, he thought that she might think of him much differently knowing this.

As Renoshi finished, Riley slowly sat back in her chair, one hand resting on her cheek still as she processed what she had just been told. And indeed it was a lot to sort through. Was he lying to her? She had no reason to doubt him... Though, she hadn't long met him, and had little reason to believe him. Strangely, he eyes held not emotion, and seemed glassy, or as if they had glossed over. Slowly, she blinked, thoughts fading as well as the listless look her blue eyes had held. "That's a very interesting story," She told him, though gave no hint as to whether she believe him or not, or even if she had come to a decision to go either way. Stragenly, she smiled faintly, and leant in on the table once more, ears perky from having listened so intently, "Well, I'm glad things turned out okay for you," Still, little to no indication that she believed him, or otherwise. "Company is always good, more so in times of need." Riley then added, eyes focusing solely on Renoshi from across the table. For the first time in a matter of moments, her eyes held some emotion. As of now, it seemed to be flickering between admiration and interest. Even if the story was a total lie, it seemed like a book or movie to her, and held her captivated.

Renoshi continued to watch Riley as she spoke, not taking his eyes off of her, not even for an instant. She failed to give off much hint as to what she really thought about all of this information. He knew it was a lot to through on to someone so quickly after meeting, but that showed that he at least trusted her a little.
"Believe or not, I don't mind. So long as you don't run away because of it." his words were half-mumbled. It was like he was unsure whether or not to say those words for her to hear.
He nodded to her last sentence. "Indeed, it is..." He now could detect a hint of something in her eyes. "That girl, she's the one I guard with my life. I owe my life to her, so I return the favor by protecting her if she gets into too much trouble."
Slowly he was allowing his life stories to unravel, and allowing each piece to fall into place. Bringing a little more sense to what he has said up until this point.

Slowly, Riley rest an arm on the table top once more, barely catching his muttered words in the process of doing so. A slender brow rose in question, and she tilted her head slowly, "Run away? Hardly." She lightly told Renoshi, her other arm moving to the table top as well, and she leant in over the table some more. "I'm not sure why you think I would," She slowly stated, looking rather curiously at Renoshi, she cleared her throat, and assumed she would need to elaborate. "I mean... I understand that what you told me is... Unusual..." Her voice trailed off, as if she were trying to think up what to say next, before finally giving up on it with a sigh.
Lifting her eyes to his final comments, she tapped her chin thoughtfully with a finger tip, "That makes sense," Riley then gave her head a single nod. Renoshi feeling as if he owed the woman whom saved his life did make perfect sense to Riley. Would anyone else not feel the same way? Of course he had to feel greatful. Well no, he didn't have to, but any decent person was. And to Riley, Renoshi was a decent person, be the story a truth or lie, her answer would be the same. "I can see why you job is so important to you," She added, stroking her hair back some from her face.

Renoshi smiled faintly. His eyes had a bit of a lightened look to them. Like he just released a monster from within himself, the burden of carrying something began to lift. He appreciated the efforts she was making to understand and take in the things he told her. Not to mention the efforts she made to help him understand things.
He nodded. "Maybe you'll meet her someday. Actually, if you and I make a habit of hanging out with each other you're bound to meet her. I'm her bodyguard, so its only a natural thing." he paused. "She's my first best friend, but more like a sister to me."
Renoshi then turned his attention to everything on the table. He noticed that a tea set had been set up on a serving stand beside there table. Which meant the waiter must have brought it when they were busy talking. Oh well, its not like it mattered what the waiter thought if he happened to overhear.
He picked up one of the teacups, and carefully poured some tea from the teakettle into it and set it before Riley. Then he served one for himself. "Please eat whatever you like. But don't get too full. These are only our starters. After this we have the main course, a pasta dish, and desert." He said, gesturing to the dishes set up on the table.

"Mm, perhaps I will to both," Riley lightly pointed out, eyes scanning the food on the table top, her eyes then lifting up to Renoshi once more. Oh yes, she was very hungry, no worries about not being able to eat. Absently, she tapped her forefinger to her temple. "Thank you," She murmured, smiling faintly as the tea was set before her, she tilted her head at the spread once more.
"If there's anything there that's not edible, or just for decoration, you might want to tell me..." Riley pointed out with a light smile. That was a very good idea, as many people in the room, and whom were expected to be in such a place, would likely know what part of the meal before you was actually meant to be eaten. "I'll save myself from learning the hard way just this once, by asking you that." She then added. Mm, and Riley was prone to learning things the hard way, as she had been a stubborn youth, though had matured some while out on her own. Actually, she more or less had to mature in order to keep her head about the things which occurred in her daily life...

Renoshi listened to Riley but didn't look her in the eyes like normal. He was busy setting up his plate, so she'd get an idea of what to do. He did look at her, however, when she asked about what was supposed to be eaten. "Oh don't worry, pretty much everything here is good to eat. But if you don't like eating minty leaves I wouldn't suggest touching the items along the plate holding our Strawberry Bisque." He pointed out.
He took one of the four clean plates set before them and filled it with a random bits of food. He took one of the frosted over bowls holding the strawberry liquid soup, some walnut bread spread with fig jam, a few pieces of candied grapefruit and also a few pieces of shrimp on a smaller plate.
Before actually eating anything, he just sipped lightly from his teacup. Waiting politely for her to begin first.
(Eh. I have to take a quick shower, but I'll be back soon.)

Riley gave her head a soft nod, glancing to the minty leaves subconciously, "Okay, I'll avoid the leaves..." She absently commented, watching Renoshi fix himself up, she took a plate slowly as well, and decided to try a little bit of this, a little bit of that. In all truth, she had little idea what most of the food was, though, she would try it anyways. As she never knew whether she would get the chance to try such things again in her life time. "I've always known the difference, but for some reason I always think mint came from a coconut like fruit. I have no idea why. I'm just weird, I guess." Riley rambled, lifting her eyes to Renoshi. Well yes, she was weird, and not only in her own mind.
"Of course, I likely wouldn't know the difference if it wasn't for tooth paste," She pointed out with a soft laugh. Indeed, most tubes of tooth paste she had seen had a picture of mint leaves and what not on them. Or, rather, that's what she assumed they were.
(No worries, I have to go soon.
First day of school tomorrow. *Eye twitch*)

Renoshi watched Riley as she fixed up her plate. He never set the teacup down as she prepared her food. It was something a little interesting seeing Renoshi drink from a teacup. It wasn't the most normal of things in today's world to see a guy drink tea from little teacups.
He lowered his cup, and grinned at the other's comment. "Well, if you haven't actually seen something in real life its only natural for our minds to assume what it looks like. Even if we see a picture of it, our minds will hold on to what it believes because there is still a possibility it is that way." he replied without much thought toward his words.
(Sorry for the post before. It wasn't one of the best I've done. I was trying to rush cause I was about to get kicked off. But that person left so ya...
Eh, school. I've been back to school for a few weeks now. That's why I'm not on in the mornings like I used to be.)

Riley tilted her head some as Renoshi spoke, shifting to sit on the edge of her seat some more. "I guess so," she began to say, running her fingers through her hair some absently at she thought, "But a coconut? There's no resemblence whatsoever..." Her voice trailed off in thought, and she stroked her chin some, "Well, aside the fact that chocolate bars come in those flavours..." Apparently someone was in a bit of a random mood, though that was rather typical for Riley, as her mind wandered more, the stranger the topics which appeared.
Absently, she glanced at the food on her plate, unsure of what to start with. It all looked so foreign to her. Though most of it was appealing as well. Lifting her gaze to Renoshi once more, she smiled faintly.
(Oh, no worries, it happens to us all. I'm sorry for leaving... Mom yelled at me to go to bed. xD
It was rather pointless, I was up until four in my room. :/
Ah, I see. First day is over with. Bleh. Only like... 200 more to go.)

Renoshi's ear twitched, possibly from boredom or just because he didn't have much of an idea of what to talk about now. "Well, you never know..." He paused, when hearing her comment about chocolate bars. He laughed lightly at that. It was defiantly an interesting experience hanging around Riley.
He began eating bits of his food, starting with the shrimp. He carefully used the fork to pick up whatever food he was eating, and chewed silently. His manner of eating was what Riley, probably, expected of him by now, very proper.
He did notice that the female wasn't actually eating anything. "Is the food alright?" he asked. He hoped that nothing was wrong with it, or she just didn't like anything like this. "If you want something else, or anything, you can just ask."

Riley's eye danced to Renoshi once more as he asked her these questions, and her head gave a bow like nod, "I'm just... admiring..." She pointed out with a light laugh, then went about picking up her own fork, she seemed to do some trick in her mind to help her choose what exactly she would start with. "I'm fine," She reassured, eyes on Renoshi once more, to further assure him, no doubt. "Don't worry about me, I'm just savouring the moment." Riley finally concluded, sticking her fork in her first piece of food, she lifted it to her lips, and popped it into her mouth. Mm. That was good. What it was seemed beyond her, but it tasted wonderful, and that's all that mattered in her mind.
After she had swallowed, and curiously examined the other food on her plate, she smiled up at Renoshi, "I'm just not used to any of this, really." A sigh passed her lips, while her silvery blue ears twitched some from where they were perked on her head.
