The Reflection of her Eyes

"Ha." she said. "I guess. But they're more like my family then anything else, so it doesn't really bother me." She smiled. "Its a pretty interesting place, I'll give it that. But its kind of still in the remakeing stage. The first time I visited Wonderland, when I was a kid, it was all happy and bright, but all of that got erased when I lost my feelings. Even the people in it dissappeared. So since then everything had to be remade. And its still forming and changing to this day."

"That's nice, I suppose it would constantly change, if it's linked to your mood like that. People seem to change quite a bit." He speculated, pocketting his hands as he looked up to the sky through a layer of leaves. "Hope it gets back to happy and bright for you, then." He added with a smile to her as the sun began to show through in rays of light.

Alice eyes shifted up toward the sky, as well, watching as the bright light filtered down in dancing beams. She smiled. "Thats true." she agreed. "It has really changed a lot, and I really do think its getting a little better." she paused. "Its still pretty empty when it comes to people, though. Only two of the people that reside there were actually 'born' there."

The people there sounded intriguing, causing him to wander what they were like, or where they came from. "If only two were born there, where did the others come from?" He mumbled half to himself as he tried to think up possibilities. Now that he thought about it, he was becoming all the more curious, and looked back to Alice with a puzzled expression.

"I said the world was pretty much empty. Only a few people live there, including me. The two born there were the King of hearts, and Cheshire, a cat boy. And then there is Renoshi, my card guard and puppet. He is the guy I saved in this world, but he often stays in Wonderland. Then there is me." Then her plush petpet squeaked. "Oh, and you can't forget Tippity." Alice added, hugging the Miamouse tightly. "He's the new Doormouse."

"Very cool. So does that mean that others can go between this world and Wonderland?" He asked curiously. Well, she had of course, but for Renoshi to, unless they were linked in some weird way, there was a possibility. Soon, the light around them got brighter, as the trees thinned, and they neared a town. Wow, so they weren't just wandering aimlessly. Or at least, they wouldn't be lost in the woods for ever or anything.

Alice nodded. "Correct. Really anyone can get there, but no one beside me and the other three really knows how to do it purposely." she paused. "We've had a few people end up there by accident, I think. The king sure had trouble when that happened. He had to send them back, and make it so they thought it was only a dream. We cannot risk having people we don't trust know about it." she explained. Alice's eyes had drifted ahead, spotting a group of small buildings. "So there really was some sort of town out here."

"Really? Wow, I kind of want to see it one day." He smiled. Of course, this was her world, he wasn't going to barge into it just because he wanted to get out of here occasionally, and was curious. "But I'm sure it would be easy to mistake as a dream, if it's anything like the book." He grinned, imagining it come to life. "Hehe, guess we lucked out on that, huh?" He grinned, stepping out onto the flat, stone road. It was a small town at least, not too many people at all, aside from the small few who lived there. It didn't look like the kind of place that would have many tourists.

"Maybe you can." She grinned, looking over to him. "I don't know if you'll like it though. The first place you end up when entering it is black. The whole area is in darkness. Only with a guide can you escape it." She warned. This was probably set up so any intruders wouldn't be able to see too much of the odd world.

As the two walked down the pebble paves streets Alice clutched onto Tippity a little more tightly then normal. These two probably stood out from everyone else, since people who normally lived in small towns in forests didn't usually have such a range of attire. Not to mention Alice's dress wasn't exactly common anywhere anyway. Her eyes shifted about, scanning the buildings for signs. It seemed the area they found themselves in had a few different places to eat.

"Sounds interesting, at least I know you, so if you were around I wouldn't get totally lost." He smiled, looking around the streets as well. "Hm, what do you think about this coffee shop?" He asked, pointing to one just ahead. It seemed small enough at least, and they probably had a bakery. Plus, if she felt too uncomfortable, that was the kind of food that you could walk with.

"True." she smiled. "Just watch out for Cheshire. If I'm not around and he appears, don't ask him for help. He'll speak in riddles and in ways to confuse." She looked to the coffee shop Refaine was referring to. "Sure, that'll do." It just so happened Alice was very fond of tea. "Everyone in Wonderland enjoys tea, even those who are living on borrowed time." She stroked Tippity's head, and he responded with tiny squeaks similar to how a cat would purr.

"Hehe, I'll make sure to watch out for him, then." He grinned. Coffee shop it was. "Oh? Cool, tea is good. I usually like tea, though it depends on the flavor. I remember there was this really good kind I had once with a really long name, it was like vanilla hazle nut something or other." He grinned, now he felt like having tea. Tea, that was a unique little thing. He looked over to Calcifer briefly, eh, he didn't like any sort of liquid, for good reason.

"We have some unique tea in Wonderland. Believe it or not, I sometimes convince the guys to have a huge tea parties. Despite the fact its only us and our petpets, its still quite fun." She smiled briefly, then entered the little shop. It seemed only two or three people were there, beside the two working. A man baking and mixing drinks, while a lady worked the floor and helped him when not serving customers.

The lady of the pair approached them, with a bright smile on her face. "Please sit anywhere you like, and I'll be right with you." she handed them each a menu. Alice took hers, surprised that a place like this would actually be set up like a restaurant. The lady had then left and Alice had found an empty table.

Wow, this place was fancier then it seemed at first glance, it actually had a menu and stuff, he thought with slight shock. So much for the walking, eating food. Nevertheless, he took a seat at the same table, and opened up the menu, scrolling through it. "I'm paying, by the way, so knock yourself out with the ordering." He smiled to her, and looked back down to the menu. He decided on some simple stuff, tea and a danish, or something like that, that would work just fine for him.

Tippity had hopped up on Alice's shoulder as she opened the menu and scanned for something to eat. The little mouse-like creature let out a higher toned squeak of excitement as Alice found the section with tea and pastry combinations. She patted his head, "Alright, alright, I'll share. But you'd better thank Refaine, not me." She said glancing over to him and smiling her own thanks.

The lady server then came back. "Are you all ready to order?" she asked, her voice cheerful. Alice folded her menu, setting it on the edge of the table for her to take. "Yes please. I'll have the combination number two." The lady nodded. "And you sir?" she asked, turning to Refaine.
