"I'll have a raspberry pastry and vanilla bean tea, please." He said with a smile, handing her the menu. As the lady took the menues with a nod and left, Calcifer jumped down from Refaine's shoulder, moving to one corner of the small table. He remained close to Refaine, though far enough to show that he wasn't as scared as usual. The tips of his flames cackled in delight. Sure, he didn't like drinks, but pastries were always delicious.

Now that the menus left the space open, Tippity had hopped onto the table himself. Scurrying up to the male Ixi, and holding out his little paw and smiling. He was doing just as Alice had said, trying to thank Refaine.
Alice grinned, watching her little friend. It made her happy to see that he was so cheerful, and seemed to be alright around Refaine. "Thanks for paying." Alice said. She glanced around once more, before facing him again. "This place is a little different then I expected."

He smiled, looking down to Tippity. "No problem." He responded, lightly shaking his paw with one finger. "Yeah, it really is. I was expecting a less... resturaunt like thing." He said, trying to find a word for it. He looked up from Tippity to see the resturaunt. It was about the same size as what his first impression told him, though it acted like much more, in a way.
"Strange, but nice, huh?" He said with a smile. It seemed like one of those family owned businesses, or some such things. Like those little stores that were great, partially because not too many people knew about it.

Alice agreed. "I like it. Its small, but it kind of has warm feeling to it. Like its actually a welcoming place." She then noticed the lady coming back with there orders. "Here you are." she said, placing the items before the proper people. "Please enjoy." Alice smiled politely. "Thank you."
At the sight of Alice's food being placed Tippity squealed, dashing over before the plate and nearly falling head first into it. Only he wobbled slightly gaining balance again. Alice laughed lightly. "Be careful, or you'll just end up wearing your food." Tippity gave her a cheese smile, then attempted to snatch the blob of cream atop the baked good, only managing to get it all over his paws. "I warned you." Alice laughed. Tippity just stuck his tongue out at her, and began to lick his paws clean.

Refaine grinned, looking across to Tippity. Calcifer, however, didn't dive right in, but eyed the pastry while making strange sizzling noises. He, as a flame, had entirely different expressions, though he still smiled and all, he had a few unique qualities to him.
Refaine looked to Calcifer, smiling lightly and pulling off a side of the pastry. The fireball ate it as one would expect, devouring it like a flame. With that, he took a sip of tea, and tried a bite of the pastry. "And it has good food, too." Refaine added with a smile.

Alice contently sipped her tea, watching with curiosity as Calcifer ate his food. It was quite interesting, and a little frightening, at how a flame devoured things. She held the tea cup out, and tipped it slightly close to the table. Tippity's reaction to this was placing his paws under the edge of the cup and sipping the tea to wash down the cream.
"There tea is very delicious, and Tippity seems fond of the food, too." Alice said. Tippity had finished his drink, and helped himself to a piece of Alice's pastry, nibbling away at it. Alice, too took a small bite of it. She nodded. "Indeed, it is good."

"Yep, definately." He nodded, smiling as he sipped his tea again. He ripped a small piece away from the pastry, throwing it up for Calcifer to catch. The flame grinned, catching it in it's mouth so that it disappeared in no time. He threw another piece up, and every time, Calcifer caught it with a satisfied grin. He then grabbed another piece, eating it for himself. Calcifer had eaten more then him, after all.

She watched as the fireball ate his food, sipping her tea, just like before. It was still quite interesting to her. "You know, Calcifer, you're cute." she said setting the cup down again. She began taking pieces of her pastry, giving a pieces to Tippity, then eating one herself, and so on.
"Hey," she said looking over to Refaine. "Kind of a boring question, but what are your interests? What do like doing for fun?"

Calcifer turned to the comment, after having the last of the thrown pastries. He sizzled lightly in content, giving her a big smile, which looked a bit strange on fire.
Refaine smiled down to Calcifer, looking to his pleased expression. The flame was pretty easy to win over, it seemed, trusting. He looked up, listening to her question. "Hm, interests..." He mumbled, trying to think of some. "Well, I like fire, if that counts. I'm not a pyro or anything crazy like that, but it's fun to watch, or mess with when I'm bored. I can even do a bit of fire-breathing." He grinned, a new trick for him. "Then, there's a bit of sparring kinda thing that I do sometimes, and art is pretty cool, though I can't draw for beans." He shrugged lightly, unable to think of too many things. "What about you?" He asked curiously, tilting his head.

Alice had smiled brightly in return to the fireball, before looking back over to Refaine. She nodded her head slightly after her spoke, showing her acknowledgment. "Eh, fire." she said quietly. Yes, she really did seem a bit uneasy with it. "Its pretty, but very deadly." She then stopped, thinking up her own response. "Well I guess I do quite a few different things. Playing card games, having crazy tea parties, making dolls to use as puppets...." she trailed a little, still thinking. "I guess I do quite a bit of sparring, too. Everyone in Wonderland has there own battle style and powers, so we often practice against each other." she paused. " Um, as for things I like; books, roses, puppets, art, pretty much anything unique and different."

"Eh, maybe I like messing with fire so I can actually learn to handle it, and how it moves. Then if I get caught in it, or something, I won't be helpless." He shrugged, that's a good thought that just struck him. "Cool, that's pretty interesting, sparring with friends must be pretty fun." He said with a smile. "Oh yeah, books, I love reading fictional stories, especially those ones that can make you really think about something differently." He added with a smile. And roses were beautiful, but he wasn't going to say that.

Alice nodded. "I sure hope you've learned to control it, but just remember, nothing in this world can really be tamed. And fire is one of those wild things, beautifully deadly." She thought about that a moment. How many things in this world were beautiful but also dangerous if one wasn't careful? It seemed there was, at least, a decent number. "Yea. With all of our different techniques its some experience." She smiled. "Books...I guess I read stuff similar to you. I like reading about things that seem abnormal, different then the real world, and things that make you think differently then normal, I like them, too."

"Yeah, I guess that's not really the safest thing." He nodded, understanding where she was coming from. But still, he found fire so amazing. One day he'd burn himself. Fire related with most things, it can be good if used properly, but if one depended on it too much or messed with it, they would get hurt.
He turned back to the subject of books, listening to what she was saying with a smile. "Yeah, fictional things just gives you a whole new range of ideas, if it's a good book, and you really can learn a lot, even if it's not true." He shrugged, wishing some of them were real.

"So very true. Learning about things from books, true or not, is quite interesting. And even if you learn something that isn't true its great cause not everyone will know such thing. So in turn you can see things different from everyone else." She agreed with a grin.
During the time Alice was speaking, Tippity had taken this opportunity to snatch up the little bit of what remained of Alice's pastry. He actually ripped it into two smaller pieces and set one one on the table, pushing it toward Calcifer with one paw. He squeaked a little, showing that he was giving the piece to the fireball.

"Yeah, though I suppose everyone sees things at least slightly differently, even the smallest little idea can be taken totally differently by two people." He speculated, taking another sip of tea. Usually he wasn't so philosophical, though today he was actually thinking a bit more, as strange as that sounded. He glanced over to Tippity with a smile, watching as Calcifer grinned happily and crackled in thanks, extending a flame forward and taking the piece of food.
