The Reflection of her Eyes

Alice just nodded in return, so very true it was. She sipped her tea with a content expression on her face, closing her eyes momentarily as the warm liquid washed down her throat. Then, lowering her tea cup a little, she spoke, "After this, what would you like to do?"

Hm, he hadn't really thought that far, he thought to himself, sipping the rest of his tea up and placing the cup down. "I have no idea, actually." He said with a goofy grin. "Any ideas? I think it might be getting a bit dark soon, so if you have a place to be, you might need to get walking, especially since we have no ideas where we are, really." He said with a smile.

Alice responded with a "Hummm..." and set her tea cup down. Which Tippity picked up in his paws and sipped up the little bit of remaining tea. "I don't actually have anywhere to go. I just come to this world for awhile, and just sort of travel around until I decide to check in with everyone back in Wonderland. I come here even though I don't have anywhere really to go or stay. I just walk around everywhere randomly, exploring."

"Alright, so we both really have no place to be?" He asked wtih a smile, tilting his head. Few ideas came to mind concerning what they were to do after this. "Well, I have no idea what we could do in this sort of place, considering I've never been to it, want to just look around?" He suggested, pulling out his wallet and getting the cash he needed to pay.

Alice nodded. "That's fine with me. Maybe we'll get lucky and find something interesting. Maybe I can even find a few little things to buy. I'm sure everyone would like little gifts when I, eventually, get back." she said, thinking about it. "But anything is really fine with me."

Right on cue the woman, whom had previously served them, approached. "Excuse me, but I assume you're all ready here?" she asked, glancing to each of the Ixis. She laid the bill on the edge of the table and picked up the remaining dishes, before coming back again to collect there fees.

"Sounds good." He replied with a nod and a smile, taking the bill and glancing at it briefly. At that, he counted out the right amount of money, leaving a nice tip as well, and stuck the rest of his money back into his pocket. "Ready to go?" He asked, standing up as the lady took the money and left with a 'thank you, come again.'

Alice stood up, pushing her chair in. "Yep. I'm ready to go." she said happily. She held out her hand to the table briefly and Tippity ended up scurrying up her arm and onto her head. Alice smiled, and she had more then one reason to do so now. First was because of Tippity, he was always with her and was her best friend when she had no one else, and most girls had a soft spot to animals they thought were cute. The second was because of Refaine. She hadn't actually got along with anyone but her 'family' up until this point, but she felt comfortable around him.

"Cool." He replied simply, smiling back to her. He laid his hand on the table, for Calcifer to jump on, and rose it up only partially before the flame jumped to his shoulder. Once the flame was safely on his shoulder, Refaine walked slowly out of the cafe, looking half to Alice as he watched where he went. "So, which way?" He said with a smirk, heading out the door and looking at the possibilities.

Alice followed after Refaine, stepping out onto the street and looking around. A few of the surrounding buildings appeared to be places to eat, but she looked passed them and down the street, the opposite they had originally came. "I bet there will be some sort of open market down that way." She said, glancing at him and pointing down that street. If this small town was like others she had been to, then she was almost positive they'd find, at least, a few market stands.

His eyes also looked down the street as he stood outside of the cafe, crossing his arms over his chest as he thought. "Well, there's bound to be something, lets go for it." He said with a smirk, dropping his arms again to his sides and pocketting his hands, as he usually did. "So, what kinda things do you usually like to shop for?" He asked as he began walking again, heading where she had pointed.

Alice walked along at Refaine's side. "Oh I don't know. Anything interesting really." She smiled. There were no stores in Wonderland, so the only real way to get anything new was to buy it when in this world. "Though, I'm not much of a cloths shopping type so you wont have to worry about having to wait for me while I try on anything. Besides, I doubt they'd have much in my style." She said, looking down to and gesturing at her outfit.

"Are you planning on looking for anything?" she asked suddenly, looking up to Refaine with her magenta eyes.

"Cool, I don't exactly love clothes shopping, to say the least." He responded with a smile. "But, just looking around new places can be pretty fun." He continued, curious to see what sort of things a small, unknown town like this may hold. "Uh, looking for anything? Not really, maybe if I see something interesting." He said, shrugging lightly.

Alice nodded lightly. "I guess it all works out then. Neither of us have any clue on what to get. So lets just have some fun. Ok?" she asked, not necessarily expecting an answer. It actually seemed her mood was growing lighter with each minute passing by.

Soon the two found themselves in an open market with several different stands and a few actual store buildings, like Alice predicted. And almost immediately she began browsing the stands selling a multitude of little trinkets.

"Sounds good to me." He responded with a grin, heading towards the stalls and picking up some random objects that he took interest in. The particular one he was at was full of strange objects, and runned by an equally strange man, who seemed to have a glass eye that perpetually stared at one. Despite certain peculiar things, most of it interested Refaine.

He took a strange, glass-like ball, his finger running across a bronze-colored wire that went through it with intricate designs. Sure, it was beautiful, but he had no idea what it was.

Alice had first found herself at a stand ran by a fairly young woman. Just by looking at it one could tell it would sell more things for females then males. She actually took some interest in a few of the girly items. Despite her oddness and bit of twistedness she was still very much a girl and found a few things to be cute. She ended up buying a black ribbon and small handmade doll that fit in the palm of her hand. It looked like some made-up creature and in its hands was a golden key.

This one thing seemed to be slightly out of place when with the rest of the items in the stand, but now Alice held it carefully in her hand.

She walked over beside Refaine, and scanned over everything in this stand. Before really looking at anything, though, she examined the object that Refaine held. "That's really pretty." she couldn't help but commenting. She found the item interesting, too.
